So what causes a person to mistreat a fellow human being? Well, more often than not, they treat other people “differently, unfavourably” simply because of their age, gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability or beliefs (or lack thereof). It isn’t always intentional, but nonetheless, even if they didn’t mean to, it is still discrimination.

Anyway, I will go into more detail a little bit later, but there you have it: that’s what discrimination is.
