Back in 2015, the U.S. legalised same-sex marriages across every state, and before that, New Zealand achieved it in 2013. Plus, there have been talks of adding gender neutral bathrooms or allowing a transgender person to use the public bathroom of the sex they live as.

Despite the progress that the LGBTQIA community has made, they still receive considerable discrimination, mainly from the religious type. For instance, an anti-gay clerk in Kentucky, known as Kim Davis, refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, despite the fact that same-sex marriages were legalised (click here).
